App Sumo overview

What is App Sumo?

App Sumo is a pretty impressive suite of list building, traffic and social media plugins and plugins that can be installed and configured for just about any website you can think of.

They offer plugins and plugins for Shopify and WordPress (even WP Engine, so be sure to check out this short post). They can also be added to other content management systems like Squarespace. So you really have several options.

What does App Sumo include in its tools?

So App Sumo provides 4 key tools for users to use to build their email list or increase social media and social traffic. These include;

List builder

The simplest, but one of the most effective tools in App Sumo is the so-called List Builder. App Sumo actually comes in several different formats.

The main functionality of the list builder is to provide some popup or window that allows you, as a website owner or blogger, to expand your email list and return something, or just let people subscribe to a newsletter.

For example, a list builder can be created to capture emails in the following ways;

Popup – A simple field to collect an email will be displayed a few seconds after a visitor has entered your site (this can also be configured to show when a visitor is about to leave – this method is called smart mode popup)

Embedding: The next way to use Sumo List Builder is to embed, which allows, as the name suggests, embed an email collection field into an article, post or page. Useful when you want to send people a free ebook or article after they read a similar article.

Call to Action Popup – Works the same as a standard popup tool, but provides the reader or visitor with a call to action. For example, you can ask users to download a PDF or cheat sheet after they visit the page.

Scroll Box and Scroll Box CTAs are a great way to make sure your readers are totally engaged and have read enough articles to subscribe to them for more information or more information.

By adding a scroll box, you set the point at which the popup will appear. App Sumo tool can be handy when you have long articles and don’t want your sumo list maker to appear right away before someone reads your articles.

Casino. One of the latest additions to the App sumo list-builder arsenal is the casino, and it is by far one of my favourites. The casino list app allows you to receive a customer’s email, and in return, they can play a slot machine to “win” a prize.

This can be anything from discount codes to free shipping or even a free product. Visually, it looks amazing and can really grab the attention of a potential buyer. This can be really effective for those who are standing on the fence or about to leave.

This app is for e-commerce or store customers.

When I talk to people about sumo, they always tell me they only know about social media or list building tools, but they are always surprised when I tell them that sumo can be used for some other things too.

Live chat

Yes, the Sumo package gives you access to live chat features, allowing you to chat and talk with your potential readers or customers.

Live chat can mean you can effortlessly turn a potentially lost customer who is confused or upset into a happy paying customer. Maybe they have problems with payment? Or, if they can’t find a suitable phone case, you can easily turn that annoyance into happiness!

Feedback form

Again, just like in the live chat scenario, having a contact form that has NOT been saved on the contact page can be potentially vital.

As with some of the other subjects on this list, you will see the Sumo contact form on the student’s online site. I’ve added a contact form to the bottom right corner of each page.

Why? Because I felt that if someone needed to talk or contact, I wanted to make it as easy as possible. Maybe you want to discuss Shopify or the ecom-turbo topic and need more help.

A contact form gives you this ability, quickly and easily, without having to navigate to another page, fill out a bunch of details, and then forget why you sent the email at all.

You can even add autoresponder emails to people who are sending emails to let them know that you will be with them soon. Absolute gold.

How much does App Sumo cost?

Sumo’s basic tools are truly free. So you can get things like List Builder, Welcome Mat, and social media for free.

You can register on the site for free and immediately start adding forms to create mailing lists or contact forms.

Whether you decide you need more features like chat, a casino list builder, or really want more reporting features, Sumo offers several different pricing options (all pretty good).

New and small business

Get Started plan is free forever, up to 500 subscribers, and gives you all the basic forms of email and integrations.

Many websites I run or run use Sumo’s free plan. Once they reach 500 subscribers, I will upgrade to the Professional plan as it allows me to build my email list and also gives me access to more targeted list building capabilities.

Small business

If your blog or small business is starting and you want to start chatting with clients and expand your overall reporting capabilities, then you might want to consider a small business package.

Personally, I wouldn’t investigate this unless you make at least $ 79 a month from your mailing list. However, it should be if it surpasses the starting 500 subscriber mark.

Note that you can use other plugins to achieve live chat functionality, and you shouldn’t update for just this offer.

However, it does give you a versatile package that brings your online chat followers and customers together.

E-commerce

The last package, without touching the “command” package, is the e-commerce plan. This plan opens up the use of great casino forms, allowing you to insert discount codes directly into the form. Both can be very useful for e-commerce sites.

It can also dramatically improve cart conversions, providing a seamless experience. It also gives you the option to remove the Sumo brand, which can be a nice touch.

As with the small business package, you don’t consider this option until you have a reliable email list that responds to emails. They should buy the product you recommend or the services you mentioned, and they give you that $ 199 per month.

Think of the other apps on Shopify that give you these opportunities to gamify discount codes without the $ 199 price tag. The downside is that they only give you this opportunity.

Overall, the Sumo and App Sumo tools are great starting tools. With a small investment, you can instantly prove your worth every month.
